Weighted brass toggles for HomeWorks, in five metal finishes with custom engraving, designed and installed by Smarter Homes.
A mechanical toggle with a digital back end
Aviena is Lutron's heritage-style keypad for HomeWorks. It has weighted, center-retractable toggles with a firm click, in solid hand-finished brass, and each toggle is programmed in HomeWorks to run lights, shades, temperature, or third-party devices (Lutron Aviena). It is the keypad for a home where a row of brass toggles belongs on the wall.
Toggles, not buttons
Push up or down and the toggle returns to center. Lutron says each toggle can carry one command for a quick press and another for push-and-hold.
Five metal finishes
Brushed Brass, Satin Nickel, Bright Chrome, Aged Bronze, and Aged Brass. Lutron notes natural variation in hue and graining on the aged finishes.
Engraving
Custom text or icon above and below each toggle. Engraving must be set at the time of order.
Snap-on faceplate
No visible fasteners.
HomeWorks native
Standard Lutron QS wiring, with no third-party switch or relay in between.
ADA compliant
Lutron lists ADA compliance and UL, cUL listing.
Five Signature Metal finishes
Lutron's product photos of the same four-toggle square keypad in each finish. Printed and on-screen color varies from the real metal, so we keep finish samples in the showroom.
Toggle counts and gang sizes
Lutron offers 1-gang keypads with one, two, or four toggles, 2-gang horizontal with three or four, and 2-gang vertical with three (Aviena spec sheet). Our showroom keypad is the 2-gang horizontal four-toggle layout, shown here in Lutron's photo in Aged Bronze.

The keypads in our photos arrived at the showroom as pictured. They are now installed in the wall the way they are meant to be used, wired and programmed, so you can press the toggles and see the lights and shades respond. Ask for the toggle wall when you book a visit.
What to plan before the walls close
Back boxes
Lutron specifies European-style square or rectangular back boxes, about 2.36 in deep, with custom boxes available. We plan this at rough-in.
Wiring
Low-voltage QS wiring on a HomeWorks QSX processor. Lutron lists 24 to 36 V from the QS link, 20 mA per keypad, and up to 2,000 ft of total link wire.
Lead time
Engraving is defined at order and the keypad is not built until Lutron has it. We lock labels with you early.
Aviena, Alisse, Palladiom, or Sunnata
Lutron says Aviena's Signature Metal finishes coordinate with Alisse. We often pair the two so toggles and button keypads match across a home. See Alisse, Palladiom, and Sunnata. Lutron lists Aviena with HomeWorks only. It does not list RadioRA 3. See HomeWorks QSX.

What is the Lutron Aviena keypad?

Does Aviena work with RadioRA 3?
Lutron lists Aviena with HomeWorks. It does not list RadioRA 3.
What finishes does Aviena come in?

Can Aviena be engraved?
Yes. Custom text or icons go above and below each toggle, and engraving is specified at the time of order.
Is Aviena wireless?
No. It is low-voltage wired and connects to the Lutron QS link.
Does Aviena have backlighting or LEDs?
Lutron's spec and product pages do not state backlighting or status LEDs.
Can I see one?
