Lutron Signature Series Narrow Keypads in Austin
Ultra-narrow HomeWorks keypads with backlit buttons, 1 to 7 buttons, and metal faceplates. Lutron list price from $623.

An ultra-narrow keypad with backlit buttons
Signature Series is Lutron's ultra-narrow wired HomeWorks keypad, built for spaces where wall room is limited, including between door frames and other architectural obstructions (Lutron Signature Series). Rounded, backlit buttons have upward-angled engraving that stays readable in any light, and the metal faceplate snaps on without visible fasteners.
1 to 7 buttons
14 layouts, from a single button to 7 buttons, with raise and lower options.
Backlit engraving
Buttons are backlit so text reads in the dark. Custom text or icons are available.
Green or blue LEDs
Two models: HQWAS-G with green indicators and HQWAS-B with blue.
Field-changeable
Button kits and faceplates can be swapped later without rewiring.
Narrow walls, door frames, tight spots
Signature is meant for the places a standard keypad will not fit. Install it in its own wallbox rather than ganged with other devices, since Lutron's design guide says Signature keypads are designed to be installed without ganging. Each keypad has two contact-closure inputs on the back.
It ships with a temporary faceplate and blank buttons so the wall can be finished while engraving is finalized, then an engraved button kit goes in.

Matte white and twelve metals
Lutron lists White plus metal faceplates in these finishes (Lutron keypad design guide). The faceplate you choose sets the button color and whether the buttons are backlit or only the text.
| Group | Finishes |
|---|---|
| Architectural Matte | White |
| Brass | Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Bright Brass, Brass Anodized Aluminum |
| Nickel and chrome | Satin Nickel, Bright Nickel, Bright Chrome, Satin Chrome |
| Bronze and aluminum | Antique Bronze, Clear Anodized Aluminum, Black Anodized Aluminum |
Printed and on-screen colors do not match metal exactly, so we bring finish samples to design meetings.

Prices are Lutron list price (MSRP) in USD, checked October 6, 2026. Smarter Homes does not sell online and there is no checkout. Your list stays in this browser and is only sent if you email it. Engraved button kits are priced with your quote. Anodized aluminum faceplates currently show an 80-business-day lead time in Lutron Designer; most other finishes show about 20.
Signature or Architrave
Signature has backlit buttons you can read in the dark and up to 7 buttons in 14 layouts. Architrave is slimmer and sits flatter, with status LEDs beside each button instead of backlit buttons. For a larger face, see Alisse or Palladiom; for a clean retrofit keypad, Sunnata. See HomeWorks QSX for how the system fits together.
Bring your door and wall details to the showroom and we will show you how Signature compares with the keypads on display.
