One system for light, shades, and scenes
Residential Ketra light sources communicate over Lutron Clear Connect Type X, which makes them straightforward to commission into a HomeWorks system. Once integrated, Ketra can be controlled alongside:
- Motorized shades
- Keypads, including premium options like Alisse and Palladiom
- Whole-home scenes
- Voice control, including Josh.ai through the Lutron ecosystem
Each fixture runs on constant line-voltage power (120V or 277V) and receives intensity and color commands wirelessly. Low-profile linear solutions may use low-voltage controllers such as the N3 or X96.
Retrofit or new construction
Retrofit
Ketra offers A20, S30, and S38 lamps for standard bases (E26 or GU24), plus D2R remodeler downlights. Ketra lamps need constant power and must not be controlled by a traditional line-voltage dimmer. Dimming and color are handled digitally and wirelessly.
New construction
Some trim and mounting styles, especially flangeless details, need coordination during drywall and ceiling work. Early planning also settles the power strategy and avoids conflicts with legacy dimming.

What is Ketra lighting, and how is it different from traditional LED?
Traditional LEDs are limited to a narrow range of white tones and basic dimming. Ketra is a tunable platform with full-spectrum white from candle-warm to daylight, optional full color, and closed-loop color control that keeps fixtures matched over time.
Can I install Ketra lamps in my existing fixtures?
Yes. A20, S30, and S38 lamps fit standard bases, but the fixture must provide constant power and cannot be on a traditional line-voltage dimmer.
Does Ketra support circadian-friendly lighting?
Ketra's Natural Light feature tracks the sun's daily rhythm using an astronomical clock and your home's location, and adjusts the white tone and intensity to follow a day-like cycle.
What is the difference between A20, S30, and S38?
A20 is general ambient light for table lamps, floor lamps, and pendants, at roughly 600 to 800 lumens. S30 is a PAR30 longneck for directional beams, at roughly 800 to 1,050 lumens. S38 is a PAR38 longneck, more powerful, at roughly 900 to 1,100 lumens, with glare-control accessories.
What is Vibrancy?
A Ketra feature that changes the spectral makeup of white light so colors look more vivid and lifelike, without changing the color temperature. It is ideal for art, textiles, and premium finishes.
What is Color Lock?
Ketra's closed-loop system continuously monitors and corrects the light output to maintain color accuracy over time, which prevents the color shift and mismatch common in standard LED lighting.
